Installation keeps failing because - "The Installer can not install the software program bereason tright here was no software discovered to install". It"s the initially time this has occurred to me and also just occurs when trying to install this certain driver.

You are watching: The installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install

This question has been asked before in late October of last year yet tright here are no replies to the thcheck out. You can see it below.

Its now being asked a year later by a different person. Does anyone have any kind of solutions?

I"m trying to install a driver for a MIDI keyboard. I need to include that the driver only claims to job-related up to OS 10.8.5 and also my MacPublication Pro is running OS 10.11.5 however I don"t think this is the problem as the installer also runs "a program to identify whether the software application have the right to be installed" and I get previous that stage fine, implying that the driver can be mounted on my computer.

In case anyone wants to check out if they have the very same concern, you deserve to downfill and also attempt installing that driver from the M-Audio website here

Thanks in breakthrough for any kind of help!

Unfortunately, the inspect the Installer performs at the start of the software really just checks for any type of explicit rules for minimum demands. It does not run any kind of actual compatibility tests to recognize whether or not that software application deserve to efficiently run, or also install, on your machine.

That being sassist, I found this in the installer log:

"PackageKit: invalid package /Volumes/M-Audio USB MIDI Support 3.4.0/M-Audio USB MIDI Support.pkg has no bundle identifier"

Best option: Contact the developers for an updated or alternative driver for you to use.

Alteraboriginal option: Extract the contents of the package and also attempt to install the driver manually. This might occupational flawlessly, or it could cause you to pull your hair out endlessly. I personally wouldn"t recommend it since it might impact device stcapacity.

Thank you for your explained response I appreciate that.

I do not know just how to manually install software yet am quite excellent with computer systems so could learn. That sassist I do not want to mess up my computer, so is it difficult?

Meanwhile I"ll attempt contacting M-Audio aobtain. They"re rather hard to call as you require a distinct code that supposedly comes with every one of their assets prior to you have the right to call their customer support. Obviously I however don"t have that as I didn"t buy the keyboard and my step-brvarious other that did, does not have the piece of paper with the code on anyeven more.

Indeed, M-Audio have actually no chauffeurs for the Keystation 49 for El Capitan. However before, they perform say that it"s class-compliant (doesn"t call for drivers). I check out somewhere else that the really old Keystation 49 series did need chauffeurs, but possibly the perkid that wrote that was wrong or alternatively perhaps they"re talking about a various product to the one M-Audio are talking around on their site. Anymethod, that"s a little of a digression bereason even more usefully I"ve uncovered this:

http://m-audio.com/kb/article/1619

Which is a trouble-shooting web page for M-Audio class-compliant assets.

Right currently I do not know whether or not my Keystation 49 is class-compliant - I"ve heard conflicting indevelopment about this and I do not understand who to think. Seen as I can not seem to get a driver for it, I"m just going to try fixing it as if it were class-compliant... bereason probably it is.

I"ll let you know if I have actually any kind of success... and thank you as constantly for your assist.
