This type of portrait of the initially Romale emperor , Augustus Caesar –born Gaius Octavius– (63 B.C.-14 A.D.), was the best and also many extensively recognized. It corresponds to the "Prima Porta" kind, which was created as an expression of the virtues of humankind and duty characteristic of a great prince and also initially citizen, and was very regularly employed in effigies of the Emperor. It was developed approximately 27 B.C., when Gaius Octavius Caesar (63 B.C.-14 A.D.) got the title of Augustus from the Roman Senate. With a serene expression, a firm gaze and smooth and also incredibly ordered hair, this portrait transmits an air of sublime tranquility. This head, in specific, must be dated in the date of Emperor Tiberius (14-37 A.D.).
